Member of the Month is a statewide initiative for Alabama SkillsUSA to recognize outstanding members. Each month during the academic year members are nominated by their peers. Nominations are judged and the award is made the following month. Every nominee is recognized by the state staff. Winners are recognized by the Assistant State Superintendent of Career and Technical Education / Workforce Development and gifted with SkillsUSA memorabilia. Nominees are often chosen for character, leadership and exemplifying the elements of the SkillsUSA framework. Member of the Month winners are recognized on all of our social media platforms and recognized at the State Leadership and Skills Conference each year. One Member of the Month will be selected for a travel scholarship to the National Leadership and Skills Conference.
